Shawdesh Desk:
Jatiya Party (JP) Secretary General Moshiur Rahman Ranga has apologised to the people of the country for his controversial remark on Shaeed Noor Hossain.
A release on Ranga’s statement, signed by JP’s joint office secretary MA Razzak Khan, confirmed the matter on Tuesday.
Earlier on Sunday, Moshiur Rahman Ranga claimed that Shaheed (Martyr) Noor Hossain was addicted to drugs like Yaba pills and Phensedyl.
This controversial comment of the JP leader triggered mass criticism in the political arena of the country and social media platforms, including Facebook.
Morium Bibi, mother of Shaeed Noor Hossain said “Noor Hossain is not only my son, but also son of the people. He (Moshiur Rahman Ranga) called the son of people as a drug addict. If he was a drug addict youth, then he couldn’t sacrifice his life for the sake of the country. I want justice from the people as well as the Almighty Allah,” she said.
Morium Bibi said this at a sit-in programme, organised by the family members of Shaeed Noor Hossain in front of the Jatiya Press Club in the capital.
